Thank you, Nanami-san.

[ yuta has never blamed anyone for his misfortune, or for any of the events in his life that had led him to where he is today. he had stopped being a child since rika's accident, and nothing was ever normal from that day forward. they've all seen their share of horrors—from the moment they become jujutsu sorcerers, nothing in their lives would ever be the same; it is only a matter of time before the consequences catch up to them one way or another. yuta knows this. one of these days they will break and their souls will crumble, little by little.

but he'd held on to his. because of rika, because of maki, because of panda, because of inumaki. he has no doubt that yuji and the others will weather it; he's seen it, after all.

it doesn't make the idea of telling nanami any easier, though.

yuta sends him his location, a quiet area not too far from the government housing. he sits on a bench as he waits for him, fingers twisted in the strap of the black case he carries. in spite of everything, he's glad that he's telling nanami rather than the others; there's comfort in the older man's calm demeanor, in the even-handed logic he provides. at the very least, he knows that nanami will understand, and perhaps, that's all that really matters.
